About Us

The first computer I ever encountered was the Apple IIe, in my school library. It was still so novel, there wasn’t really a use case for it, not in my elementary school, so it was relegated to an isolated corner. I would go back there every chance I got, just to look at it, sitting there... turned off. On or off, I was fascinated and just knew there was limitless potential in that sadly-discarded device... or, rather, the future of such devices.
 

That fascination never went away -- if anything, nearly 40 years later, I’m MORE fascinated by this constantly evolving technology than I ever was. I’ve been an enthusiast all this time, but turned it into a career over 20 years ago.
 

My name is Jim Hamilton. I've been married 10 years now to the light of my life, Ashley. That’s our daughter in the photo, Trinity, an equally incandescent part of both our lives. She makes us laugh and smile A LOT, and is light years ahead of me on an iPad :) They share me with information technology, which, admittedly, takes up an enormous amount of my time.
 

In 2020, during the early days of the pandemic, as I was working more and more from home, it occurred to me how necessary and viable a remote computer and network support service was... and so... RemoteIn was born!
